Murdock had ~~handwavily~~ told his students to meet him at the end of the causeway this morning. He was grinning from ear to ear and leaning against a black and grey van with a red stripe.

"Hey guys! Ready for some fun? I figured since we're so close by, we'd check out the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. It's got lots of things on the history of flight, space travel and even some of the aircraft we discussed in class."

"And today," he waggled his eyebrows, "is even better becuase they're doing a lecture on the Vought-Sikorsky XR-45, which is America's first military helicopter." Yes, he was practically bouncing over that.

"Oh, and later, they're doing another event, the Annual John H. Glenn Lecture. The Apollo 8 Astronauts will be there."

He slid the door to the van open. "So hop in and grab a seat! Who wants shotgun?"

(ooc: for anyone interested, there is a live webcast of the Apollo 8 discussion starting up at 7:30pm EST. The event itself begins at 8pm. I thought I'd share for all!)

Chat along the way, nap, look at the scenery, etc. Or drool over the van.

Mod your musuem fun! Just don't wander off too far, Murdock doesn't want to have to go looking for you.

Who's grinning the whole time. He may be enjoying this trip more than his students.

I love how the timing worked out for this! I saw the event for a Thursday and was all 'whooooo! that's perfect for class!'

Have fun and let me know if you check out the lecture event later. I'm going to try to catch it myself.

Mac wasn't really a van drooling sort of girl, but she was happy to sit and look out the window.

She was probably also interruptable for chat, though.

Naomi was rather bouncy about the trip, even though she wasn't drooling over the van.

Jack Burton

Jack was so drooling over the van. And asking tons of questions. Yay cars!

Murdock would happily answer all the questions he had. And tell Jack not to drool too much, otherwise the owner of the van might get upset.

And Jack probably doesn't want to tangle with BA.

All droolage was conveniently caught by Jack's shirt. Any encouragement to drive on the median, do one of those two-wheel jobs, and to jump stuff was mostly joking. Except if Murdock would actually do it.

Jack could take BA. It'd be two hits: BA hitting Jack and Jack hitting the floor.

Good thing for Jack that BA liked kids and would never hurt one.

Although he did get a look for his suggestions. Not that Murdock probably couldn't do those things, he just wasn't going to with kids in the van.

That'd get BA knocking him around.
