Young Entrepreneurs Club; Thursday 2pm -- 10/16.

Turtle Wexler had always made it a point to make sure that she was rarely late for things like clubs and class and work and meeting, but, unfortunately, today, late she was. It would seem that, no matter how much she ran around outside hoping to be hit by a rock that wasn't pink, it just wasn't meant to be. She finally had to give up, go to club, and hope that no one noticed.

Or maybe it just looked like she had a really bad sunburn?

Either way, she tried to act like nothing was different.

"Hey, guys! Simple day today, since it's break and all. Let's just get together and discuss some possible ideas for a product. Just keep in a mind, every good product has three major components: One: it's useful. Two: people want to buy it. And three: it's awesome."

Uh, colorfully.

Turtle has provided doughnuts and coffee and milk, to enjoy while discussing other business with each other.

"In class the other day," Turtle offered, "someone got the idea going in my head about more fashionable bowling shoes, which isn't a bad idea, but I don't think it's as wide reaching as we'd like. Did anyone else come up with anything?"

If only Turtle were a few shades darker, she and Mister Deadpool might match.

I have waaaaaay too much fun in Gimp.

Ned

"After this weekend," Ned said, staring at how colorful Turtle was, "I thought of some 'embarrassment tent' or something to hide from the world but really anyone could use a regular tent or a closet or a blanket for that."

Ned munched on a donut while staring off into space. He'd call it thinking. It was mostly daydreaming.

Dor

"That's a good idea," Dor agreed. "Though I wonder if the invisibility spells from back home would also work."

"Invisibility?" Ned repeated, eyes wide. "You can do that?"

"Well not me personally," Dor replied honestly. "But there are several spells back home that can be used for that. Only problem is that someone could use it inappropriately and not just to hide from embarrassment."

"And what if it didn't last long enough?" Ned asked. "If it wore off but the person was still embarrassed?"

Jack Burton

"Or, even worse," Turtle mused, "wear off in a moment that makes them even more embarrassed. I like the invisibility idea, but it might be a little too tricksy. However, tents aren't a bad idea overall, especially since the closets here are...of questionable reliability."

Turtle was avoiding all of the pink frosted sprinkled doughnuts, thank you very much.

Jack had two donuts and some black coffee, putting him in a slightly better mood. He was feeling a bit blue. And pink. And mauve. And orange. And a load of other colors thank you very much.

"Invisibility closet?" Jack mused. Not that he'd be in one now, really. "It might work."

"Closets don't work right?" Ned asked, frowning at that. "Really?"

Turtle shrugged. "Sometimes you get stuck in them. Or they take you somewhere that definitely is not the inside of your closet."

Of course, Turtle realized that this might be only true for when Jeff was involved; she certainly didn't have any evidence otherwise. But it was better safe than sorry, she figured.

"Considering the amount of things that happened over the weekend that's a valid concern," Dor replied. "We'd probably have to have a warning label."

"I won't be going in my closet without tying a rope around my waist," he said and winced. "Safer that way."

Alice Liddell

Alice had a few splashes of color over herself. She liked them. She was hoping they would stay. Ooooh, doughnuts!

"That could be another idea," Alice mused. "Warning labels, for Fandom. Place them on those things that newcomers would not know not to go near. Or even a map of such: here are the good places, and here are the places you must strenuously avoid. And here are a few that are always strange, even by Fandom's terms."

"I like that idea," Dor said with a nod. "Though wouldn't the entire island need warning labels?"

"That means there would be plenty to sell," Alice said, eyes dancing. "Even if they were inexpensive, we could make a fortune."

"Though what if someone used it inappropriately?" Dor pondered. "What that make us responsible for how it is used?"

"I don't see why it should be," Alice said airily. "It isn't as though we're selling weapons, and you never see knife-sellers arrested when someone stabs someone else in their sleep."

Alice was perhaps more suited for business than she had realized.

"That's a good point," Dor said scratching his head. "Though it seems... worrisome. At least to me."

"Only because the only person with complaint is either dead or too stupid to think of getting the knife sellers, too," Turtle muttered. "That's not really the problem I see with selling the maps, though. They're a good idea, but they're only really useful to sell during certain times of the year: beginning of semesters and in the rare case of a new townie coming in. It's not a constant cash flow, but you're right about it being relatively inexpensive. It could be a great secondary product to have ready at the start of the spring semester."

"We could sell specialty bungee cords that fit snugly around your waist in case you end up in a closet or a locker and things go badly," Dick suggested.
