The Island moves [late Sunday night]
As the volcano continued to belch forth smoke and ash, Fandom Island had had enough. The machinery under the school hummed into life, analysed the situation, and with a high pitched whine and sudden pop, the island blinked out of existence.
When it was gone, almost as if Bali Hai had been warding off a rival, the volcano slowly began to subside. Not that anyone on Fandom Island could see it.
It blinked back in off the coast of Africa, nestling companionably close to another island.
Welcome to Madagascar! The causeway will carry you to Toamasina, with plenty of easy transport to the capital, Antananarivo, and the portal to Alexandria remains unchanged.
