Speaking in Tongues [25.04]

Karal wasn't sure if people would come for the last meeting, but he was there, just in case. When everyone arrived who was going to arrive, he stood up. "Thank you, all of you, for being part of this club. It's been a true pleasure learning other tongues and sharing different languages with all of you. For our last day we'll have a short meeting, especially as some of us have a prom to prepare for. If any of your languages have a traditional farewell, I thought we could share them. Karse's is, //May the Sunlord watch over your journey and guide your steps safely home.//." He repeated it in English, and then sat down again, nodding randomly at someone to go next.

Andrew couldn't really think of any kind of formal or ceremonial goodbyes, so he made one up.

"May your path be well lit, your scent downwind of evil, and your neck free of rupture," he said gravely.

It seemed like good advice to give someone back home.

Hoshi wasn't keen on saying good-bye, so she picked a farewell sentiment that she learned back home.

With her hand up, palm facing outwards and fingers split between the middle and ring fingers, she said, "Live long and prosper."
