TACTICS/CONFLICT MANAGEMENT: PERIOD ONE AND TWO, THURSDAY

"Good morning, class." Harriet's smile might be a little worrying. "Last week we discussed a tried and true conflict management trick - identifying your conflict management style and likening it to an animal. Today," she waved at the Danger Shop door, "you're going to get to try those styles out for real. Once you step through the doors, you'll become that animal. You'll find a fully moddable environment that suits each animal. All you need to do is enjoy your new and temporary bodies, and oh yes, don't get caught."

It would be a while before someone else showed up in the Danger Shop. Lieutenant Kerrigan had sent out handwavey notice to her class to meet here early-- and early she was. "Morning, Dean Jones."

"Good morning, Lieutenant. Conflict Management students, this is Lieutenant Kerrigan," she said, nodding at Kerrigan. "Tactics Students, I'm Dean Jones."

"...I think they know who you are, Harriet," Kerrigan noted, succesfully winning her fight against the urge to rub her forehead. "Kids, Dean Jones is turning her kids into animals today as a lesson in conflict management." She had no idea how that worked, but god help her, she was going to run with it after the weekend she'd had. "Your armament for today will be this," and she presented the class with a piece of chalk, "Your job'll be to ferret out these fu-- guys," she nodded her head at the other students, "From the actual animals habitating the environment you'll soon be entering. Bag 'em and tag 'em."

"And your job," Harriet continued smoothly, turning to her class, "is to avoid any bagging or tagging of any kind. You can do this in a number of ways. Hide, run away, pretend to be an ordinary animal, of which there are plenty types and numbers fully moddable by both classes, convincing them not to chalk you - and you are free to promise anything you like in exchange, if you can discover a way to communicate with your hunter - disable them by trapping them in a natural hazard, or anything else yuo can come up with."

"Don't buy any of it," Kerrigan advised her class, with a smirk. "That will be all." She shot Harriet a sideways look. "Get at 'em, kids. Time for coffee."

[ooc: The Danger Shop is set up a a huge landscape, with any number of different environments, so just identify what sort of environment you're in: e.g. snowy plains, lake, tundra, mountains, forest etc etc. Conflict Management students - if you didn't pick an animal last week, go for it and pick one now. If you don't like the animal you picked last week given today's exercies, feel free to decide that it didn't 'properly reflect your conflict management style' - Harriet doesn't know what you picked, and I'm more interested in you having fun.]

Who may be smirking a little much. And idly drinking her coffee.

Chris boggled a bit at the day's assignment and hoped none of the tactics students would get overzealous.

Good thing Jen wasn't drinking coffee when she heard the assignment, or there would have been an extremely undignified spittake.

Prue had been thinking about what side she was going to take since she was in both classes. After a few minutes of thought she decided with the Conflict Management side since how often do you get to turn into a lion?

Dogs, on the other hand, were a different matter. Prue seemed to turn into those a lot.
