Tactics 201, Thursday Period Two, 24/01

There was a series of very colorful expletives guiding Kerrigan into the Danger Shop this morning as she paced in a few minutes late. As far as she was concerned, this was a major crime against all things right with the world, but then so was the absence of a syllabus--

"Oh, to hell with it," she muttered, pressing two fingers to her forehead. "Hey, class. Today, we deal with defensive installations. As you can see, the sim's set up in your typical Badlands danger area. Your mission for today, and I don't care if you want to take it or not, is to find a partner and set yourself up a suitable bunker area to defend the base behind you. We'll look into the theoreticals next week."

Wait. Next week. Aly. Oh, crap. "...We'll look into the theoreticals two weeks from now. Right now, I'm just curious to see how many of you make it out alive." Beat. "Thank you, Booth."

She moved out of sight. Probably in the general direction of the coffee machine.

Defensively.

React, talk, do that thing you do until Kerrigan notices.

Get in the armored suit of your choice, find a partner, and figure out the best spot and configuration to keep the Zerg at bay.

Mod your nasties, your terrain is bumpy and in possession of some hard-to-access high ground, and there's Ghost armor for those who requested it.

Probably best not to disturb her when she's in a mood, but she's hanging around. With her coffee.

Who is probably a little more sociable today.

The Incredibly Evil Schoolwork Fortnight of Frustrating Doom continues. Next week, I shall be free. This week, excuse my lame. I have cookies.

Max listened intently.

Max suited up and looked for a partner.

Triela found the Ghost armor which she eventually managed to get in to. It seemed quite a bit more complex than the other armor, but she was sure she could figure it out.

She swung her arms a bit to get a feel for how much more motion the armor allowed as she looked around for someone to partner up with.

Liz selected her armor and looked around for a partner.

Seely suited up, looking around for a partner.

River was here, definitely looking more cheerful than Kerrigan.

Well, the armor obviously wasn't going to fit over the terrified chinchilla that was again clinging to his shirt. Luckily -- Sokka was prepared, with a new shirt in his bag. A few moments later, it was the OLD shirt in his bag, with a still-terrified and now-confused Momo Jr. secured inside the bag as well.

That done, Sokka settled down to take notes on the "lecture". And raised his hand. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Sokka," Kerrigan said, with an expression that aimed for 'dry' but mostly ended up with 'resignedly amused', "Thanks for asking."

Sky dutifully took notes, wondering what the matter was with Lt. Kerrigan today, but held his tongue as he had a feeling it was none of his business. He had enough on his mind, anyway...

Sky slipped into his dark red armor, glancing around for a partner. He was sure Bridge and Z were going to team up, as he'd seen them doing in class before, so he didn't bother to approach either.

My sympathies. D: I'm so glad to be done with school for that reason, even if I am unemployed ATM.
