The risk and the reward

This is a profession where you are being paid to do stunts deemed too dangerous for other people. If you are a stuntman, you are essentially risking your life to make someone else (a movie star) look good.

Why would people take a job like this? What rewards could outweigh the risks? Does the fatality rate deter or reassure you?
