Chuck got into the classroom a few seconds after the bell rung. He didn’t seem happy with this time. Too soon, probably. That meant more time teaching.



“All right, class. Today is your first practical debating session. Today’s debates will count for credit. Winners get A’s, losers get F’s.” He gave the class a stern look. “As I told you before, losing should be avoided at all costs. This grading system is the perfect incentive to make sure you all fight your hardest.”

Chuck passed out debating topics. “Break off into pairs, pick a topic, and go at it. I’ll walk around the classroom and keep an eye on your progress. Come up after class and tell me who won. And no arguing over who was victorious. If there hasn’t been a solid victory by the end of class, then you’re both failures.” He shrugged. “Sounds a little dog-eat-dog, I know. But that’s just the way life is. Go!”

"Sure," Willow said. "I mean you don't have to be all 'Yay, woo, gonna live a Freudian lifestyle now' in reality, but sometimes in fiction it could be acceptable, in a hot and naughty yet seriously canon kind of way. Um, so I've heard. Not that I've read anything like that. But for debate. Ahem."

Tongue in cheek, Annette made doodles on her paper, whispering, "I could possibly have those emailed to me?" Straightening she said, "Yes, only because that would be totally impossible. Unless..." There was that one movie...ew no, just wrong. "Nevermind. It couldn't work. Unless their sister agreed to have their baby for them."

"I could possibly arrange for them to be emailed to you," Willow replied. Louder, she said. "I suppose that could work. Or a thoughtful cousin?"

"That would be great," she said, letting her eyes make another sweet around the room. "Cousins can be nice like that I suppose. A lot of fighting over who the child looks like, I would imagine."
