Fencing Club - Salle - Tuesday 4pm

"Afternoon, everyone," Peter said with a nod to the assembled students. "This is first meeting for fencing, so I thought we could just chat about our previous experiences and then perhaps spar a bit if people like."

"I can start. If you don't know me, I'm Peter Pevensie. I'm a senior. I ran the Fencing Club last year with Hamlet, and I've been learning swordwork since I was about 12 in my country of Narnia. I fight with a longsword and a shield generally."

He was there. Poking at the ground with his sword and totally not being avoidy about a certain costume's return.

Jaina Solo

Sokka

"I'm Sokka, and I don't really 'do' swords, but you never know when you'll need to... know, right??"

Sokka tried to stay on the other side of the room from Pajamaman. Just, you know. To be safe.

Cassandra wasn't a member of the club, but she did find herself in the salle this afternoon. People were here for something... familiar. She stood in an out of the way corner, watching for now.

Someone might want to make her introduce herself or something.

Aravis

"I'm Aravis, I'm a sophomore, and I've been using my brother's scimitar for a little over a year."

William Kessler

"My name's Billy, I was in fencing club last year, and I've been working with the Katana since I was 11. Oh, and I'm a senior."

Billy started practicing a bit with his sword, just to warm up. He'd love to spar with someone.

"My name's Jaina, I'm a sophomore, and I've been using a lightsaber since I could get my hands on one."

Inara Serra

"Absolutely," Peter agreed, grinning. "Plus, you know, if you had a sword, you don't want to accidentally stab yourself."

Peter was paying most of his attention to the club and its members, but he noticed the shy girl in the corner soon enough and when he had a free moment, he made his way over.

"How do you do?" he asked, extending a hand. "Were you hoping to train and didn't realise the club would be here?"

"And use it well," Peter agreed with a nod.

"Glad you decided to come back," Peter said "It's good to see you."

Aravis looked quite proud at that.

"I'm Inara, and I have some basic fencing knowledge, but need to refine my strategy and technique."
