Construction Site [Thursday]

There's nothing like the sounds of heavy machinery to wake a person up in the morning. Fraser's becoming quite accustomed to the sounds of bulldozers ringing in his ears. It's almost familiar now.

"Good morning," he greeted. "Safety equipment, please. We're still on track for completion before the fall semester and everything is moving along nicely. Be safe, drink water and come find me should you have any questions."

Fraser nodded before walking off to talk to another construction worker.

"Yeah? He take that okay?" Anders couldn't help grinning, 'cause wow, the blushing was cute.

"You're stronger than I am..." She was blushing a lot. "But I think I got him to understand that I'm tough and... that I want stuff like that, too. He was afraid I wouldn't want... him. He didn't want to scare me."

"I can understand that," Anders said. "After everything you've been through I've been trying to be kind of . . . careful with you myself. But this is good. I don't want you feeling left out or anything."

That set Anders blushing, too. "Okay then." He tried to be a little more aggressive than usual when he leaned over to kiss her, but he was blushing so hard it didn't quite come off the way he intended it to.

Conner was so totally susceptible to scoffing.

He was also not above using his super-speed to start feeding 2x4s through the band saw a whole lot faster, just to make the pile grow exponentially.

Good thing, because if there had been Anders would have shown up with the demon's food, given the demon a very sad, pouty look, and trudged away looking dejected.

This way, at least, he could show up and not have to walk away all sad.

Like he was doing.
