Potpourri - Tuesday, June 5th
Buster looked ridiculously excited today. Seeing him this excited might be mildly terrifying. And he was wearing his hook so the excitement might lead to some accidental stabbings. He had a board with a giant map of California behind him that looked like it had been stabbed numerous times while Buster was trying to put it up.
"Okay guys, today we're going to learn about Cartography!" he said once everyone had arrived. "Cartography is the study of maps. I'm sure everyone has seen a map in one form or another so I'm not going to explain what one is. You might wonder why anyone would study Cartography in this day in age...well...I can't tell you. I, um, just needed more credits in college and sort of just stumbled into it."
"So um, here's a map!" he said, gesturing to the board behind him. "This is the state of California, where I live. I know it looks kind of confusing but really it's not that difficult to understand. The green part is the land while the blue part is the water. Be sure to write that down so you'll remember it."
"And...maps..." Buster honestly had no idea what to say next. He had pretty much just shared his knowledge of maps in three sentences. So he pretended to sneeze, hoping that would make the students forget what he was talking about and moved on to the next part of the lesson. "So today we're going to be going on a Fandom-wide scavenger hunt! For those of you who don't know, a scavenger hunt is where I give you a piece of paper with stuff to find...and then you find it. And bring it back here. Easy."
"T.A. will pass out maps of Fandom for you and I'll pass out the list of stuff to find." said Buster. "I marked off the places where the items can be found on the map." Of course those markings might be completely wrong. You never know.
"You'll have all day to gather things. I'll be sticking around here all day so just bring the stuff back here to me when you're done." he said. "The person with the most stuff will get a prize even better than the prizes I gave out last time!"
He held up the list again. "Some people were kind enough to donate some of their belongings to the cause so you'll be going inside people's rooms, offices and houses to get the items." Buster didn't mention the fact that not all of the items on the list were volunteered. He figured that the students would be able to use their abilities to be neither seen or heard for this.
"Happy hunting kids! Have fun with it!" he said excitedly.
