Construction Site: Friday 5/25, all day

The construction site has, as usual, tools, belts, safety gear, and hard hats: yellow, pink, and ...Stetson. What - they were on sale!

What it might not have is any graduate workers, given the clinic's recent upswing in residents, but Xander's here just in case, working on assembling a scaffolding rig and supervising the ~~NPC~~ heavy construction guys.

Grab a hardhat, gloves, and some safety goggles. Move and stack plywood, help put scaffolding together.

Open for visitors for the workers ~~should there be any able-bodied ones left~~ or Xander - grab a hardhat, though.

Back to the grindstone! Note - don't use the grindstone; you haven't had proper safety training on it yet.

For watching, whistling, heavy breathing, etc. at a safe distance from the danger-zone.

Bridge is here. Not with bells on. Though he does have one of the Stetson hard hats. He's also got iced coffee and a box of doughnuts.

"Hey," he says with a grin, offering Xander one of the iced coffees.

"I think we may need to expand the rules to allow winning with coffee," Xander says, taking it gratefully and using the other hand to pull off his hardhat for a moment, set it down, and wipe his dampened hair off his forehead.

"Shockingly, I have no objections to expanding the rules in this manner," Bridge replies.

"It might have to be a delayed-reaction win, though. Making out on the jobsite tends to get classed as unprofessional behavior, somehow." Not to mention the kind of trouble of a completely unofficial nature it was likely to cause... anywhere but here, really.

Bridge sighs dramatically. "Well, in that case..."

"I could get away with complimenting your hat on-site, though." Xander puts his own hat back on and grins. "Nice hat." He's not looking at Bridge's hat.

"You're not looking at my hat," Bridge observes.

"It's just such an awesome hat that I had to look away so it didn't blind me with its awesomeness?" Xander suggests.

Bridge snorts. "Uh huh."

"Are you doubting my ability to choose protective yet fashionable headgear?"

"And what if I am?"

"Then I'd say you're getting better at recognising sarcasm."

"Well certain people in my life have seen to it that I get plenty of exposure," Bridge remarks.

"Anders?" Xander asks innocently.

"Someone whose name rhymes with his," Bridge corrects.

"...Colonel Sanders?"

"No!" Bridge makes a pteranodon face at Xander.

"Ann Landers?"

"...I hate you." Bridge sticks out his tongue.

"See? Excellent use of sarcastic hyperbole."

Bridge snickers. "Getting back to the topic of this delayed-reaction-winning thing," he says. "I had a thought."

"Yeah?" Xander takes a drink of his iced coffee, then peers over the rim with interest.

"I feel it's only fair that what I win ought to increase in proportion to the amount of time I have to wait to collect on it," Bridge says.

"...You're charging me interest?"

"Yep." Bridge shrugs.

"I'd bitch about the unfairness of that? Except I'm not stupid, so no."

"Also I don't actually hate you." In case that needed clarification.

"Oh good, 'cause I was worried."

Bridge opens his mouth. Closes it. Opens it again. "Sarcasm."

"Colonel Sanders taught you well."

"I like to think so," Bridge says with a solemn nod.
