Spy Tech, Class Seven (02/21)

Wednesday, February 21, First Period

Once the class was assembled, M asked Nadia and Marty to come forward.

"Your homework assignment was to write an essay on possible uses for the wristwatch. There are a number of applications that have already been used -- communicators, explosives, tracking devices. Santos and Blank will demonstrate a somewhat unusual item that was developed some years ago for my own agency."

After the demonstration was completed, M turned to the class.

"For discussion today, I want you to use the essay you wrote for your homework, and discuss how one might turn an ordinary wristwatch into a piece of specialty spy equipment. Convince me and one another that your plan could work. Before you leave today, remember to turn in your essay."

HOMEWORK: "Next week there will be no class, so I hesitate to bother giving you an assignment today. Instead, I will inform you that we will be meeting in the Danger Shop the following week, to begin our lesson on disguise."

[ooc: Marty modded today with permission. Please wait for OCD is up, you may begin.]

Jake was here. He was even sort of paying attention.

Broots nearly fell off of his chair when his keys, random tangle of something vaguely metalic and wirey, and a handful of paperclips went flying.

Broots turned in an essay about how a watch could be used as a portable computer. Good idea, could have used a little, or a lot, more thought.

Annette was resting her chin on her folded hands that lay in her desk. And her foot was swinging back and forth.

Nadia managed not to eep audibly. What? M made her a bit nervous. "Um, yeah. I'm just . . . dealing with something."

"Ow, damnit," Parker said, as her earrings tried to zing across the room. She took them off to stop them tugging, and immediately lost them to the magnet. "Duck!"

Parker's essay pretty much got into weapons again. Girl has bloodshed on the brain.

Small razors, a length of wire for garotting, poison, and explosive charges can all be hidden inside a regular-sized watch, although not at the same time, for most of these.

Parker passed a note to him at some point during the presentation. I heard the Radio. You okay?

Jake glanced down at the note, then looked towards Parker. He paused for a moment, then made a little grimace and shrugged.

Parker winced for him, then scribbled, Coffee later? And cookies?

Jake nodded, even if somewhere in the back of his mind, he kinda feared that Parker was going to beat him with her shoes.

Nadia caught it. She nodded slowly. "I will, when there is. Thank you."

D slipped by during the demo. She went behind Jake's chair and smacked him in the back of the head with a really thick folder.

"Hey!" Jake exclaimed, rubbing his head and turning around. "What the..?"

Re: TALK TO EACH OTHER

[identity profile] dbiers.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
D had taken her seat on the other side of the room by then.

She just crossed her arms in front of her and glared at him in return.

In the back of her mind, she really hoped her folder hadn't picked up any Jake cooties.

Jake glared back for a moment. He then went "hmph" and turned around, ignoring her. Stupid D.

D smirked and flipped him off once his back was turned.

Cause sometimes she was mature like that, y0.
