Duty calls collect, and I must accept the charges! A few brief things before I run off for Justice!

*connie_the_kid and rosefern_todd are dropped from the class due to not showing up at all, unfortunately. _steele_ has left the school of his own free will. May their days be filled with enacting justice upon those who would undermine it.

*aka_vala and time_agent are new to the class! Please welcome them!

*Remember, class, my Sidekick Tryouts will take place all day on Sunday!

*Today's discussion is more of a bonding exercise. Prepare a battlecry for when you leap into the fray in the name of Justice and share it with the class.

*You can still hand in this week's Extra Credit: What is the cutest kitten you have ever seen?

A battlecry does many things. It alerts the enemy, but a good battlecry will do this in a way that stuns them. Look at Archie's! They'll be thinking about the weevil thing until he's taken all of them in!

It also shows your confidence. You're confident enough to take on these villains without the initial surprise! You're scary to them!

Finally, it's a matter of style, same as a flashy costume.

I gave my response to Vala, but I should mention that battlecries aren't for everyone. Some people are suited for battlecries, superpowers, and spandex. Some aren't. And all of these people make up the great, big melting pot of differing personalities that we call Humanity!

This brings up another good point. With the school weapons and fighting bans, a REALLY GOOD battlecry could possibly scare evil-doers in the school into submission.

I'll have to think this over a bit. There may be more extra credit here...
