fandomhigh | Thanksgiving- The cafeteria- Thursday morning till 4 pm FHT

The cafeteria's not exactly decked out, but there are streamers and stuff, and festve tablecloths. That's something. Jaye tried to arrange the tables into one big long table, but that didn't work so well, so it's kind of arranged in a three-sided square shape. A C shape. Whatever.

The kitchen is ready for preparation and cooking, and Jaye hopes everyone keeps it clean because she really doesn't want to clean up.

Outside the cafeteria, in the hall (off to the side where no one will have to step over anyone else), the TV is set up, having been ~~handwavily~~ wingardium leviosaed down from the second floor common room. Chairs have been set up, and cushions have been stolen from various places for people to lounge on. There are also little tables set up with bowls of chips and dip and popcorn and stuff. Enjoy your football.

Occasionally Jaye can be seen slacking. Okay, more than occasionally. She'll hang out randomly now and then, checking to make sure the lion is still on the table as the centerpiece.

Just because a timer went off exactly every thirty minutes as a reminder, it did not mean Isabel was at all obsessive about basting the turkeys she was roasting. Honestly.

Billy wasn't quite sure why he was in here. The holiday was, after all, a hatefull lie.

At least there was entertainment. Of a sort.

Wandering into the kitchen, Hermione asks, "Do you need any help?"

Billy sighed and tried to figure out a way to get into the spirit of the holiday without compromising his principals.

Naomi spotted Billy and waved, "Hey Billy"

John arrives and looks around. Is he even supposed to be here?

John settles in for football.

"I think I'm set for the moment," Isabel said as the alarm went off and she immediately opened the first oven door, baster and brush in hand. "They said frequent basting keeps the turkey from drying out."

"Good," she says. "I'm not quite sure what there is for me to do. I'm not even trying to understand what they're watching on the television."

Jack came up behind her and leaned over her shoulder. "You're not really going to make me peel potatoes, are you?"

"Being it's Thanksgiving, that means there's only two choices," she laughed. "Football or the parade. What was it? Oddly shaped ballons? Or grown men chasing a small ball around the field and tackling each other?"

"Oh hell yes," Isabel said, motioning towards the small mountain of potatoes on the counter. "My turkeys need potatoes to go with them."

Jack arrived, intending to head to the kitchen, but he paused to wave a general greeting to everyone, and to check out the stunning decor.

"We're still on the balloons. I understand the concept all right, but the why still confuses me," she says. "They're giant balloons."

Seely had his phone and the menus for Ching Tai and Pizza Planet. Because he was organised.
