Internet for Dummies, Wednesday 11/22, 3rd Period

Abby was dressed as a pilgrim. A goth pilgrim, but it was still obvious. A table in the room was covered with snacks and the plasma screen was full of dancing turkeys.

"Happy Thanksgiving everybody!" Abby said as the students entered the room. "If you're not from around here, Happy Thanksgiving anyway! Since you're in America you might as well just celebrate our holidays, especially if we give you two days off of school."

"In honor of the holiday we're scrapping the class and just playing online games. I found a few sites that have games, but it's totally cool if you want to find your own place." She pointed over to the table. "I brought snacks too! I've got everything holiday related that you could pick up from a convenience store. Turkey burritos, hashbrowns, cranberry-flavored suckers and tons more."

"Just a heads up for next week? We're going to be doing online dating, so be thinking about your personal profiles.

I tried to think of pilgrim names but then I decided that the pilgrims kinda lacked cool names.

Have you had a cranberry sucker? Those pilgrims should be thankful they didn't have to suffer through that taste.

Mac tried shooting turkeys, but once she discovered that the pacifist in her was distinctly put off by loud gunfire she moved on to pinging acorns at ducks. (http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/g2/duck.htm)

That jingly background music sure is annoying, though, and she can't seem to make it stop.

One of my roommates in college was from Plymouth. The people in the pilgrim cemetery had names like "Fornication".

They didn't lack cool names.

After five minutes, Door is seeing the blocks behind her eyes and mentally trying to make all of the rectangular shapes in he computer lab fit into all the other rectangular shapes in the computer lab. Yet she CAN'T STOP.
