After failing at several attempts to actually pick it up, Chad tried to throw a stray ball back to whoever his team pitcher was (it was hard to keep much straight at all, with everyone sliding and spinning and this and that), but found himself moving backwards as he lobbed the ball out. Chad threw pretty hard...so he moved back pretty quickly, too.

And right into Ranma. "Oops." But the hit didn't so much stop Chad as cause them to sort of ricochet off each other. "Sorry 'bout that, Ranma." He waved as he slid back, ducking to avoid a wild ball.
