Liz hit it. The bus leapt into the air, spun rapidly, and shrunk, diving into the book. It came to rest on top of the text, at the edge of the illustration, which had become not a flat picture but a recessed baseball field. As the students file off, they'll find themselves wearing baseball uniforms in green or purple. Ms Frizzle's own uniform was both. She bounced off the bus and paused at the edge of the baseball diamond. "Come on, class! Time to take chances! Make mistakes! Get . . . frictionless!" And she carefully climbed down onto the field and skated away across the bases.
