Cognitive Logic in Understanding Evidence; Wednesday, Second Period [03/17].

Still in the study, still in the storm, but there was a new board joining the other one with all of the character motives on it.

"Alright," she started, getting straight to the point, tapping the new board with a pointer. "Last time, we interrogated the maid and the butler, and here are the details we were able to oh-so-handwavily get out of them:

-The maid claims to have not seen Mr. Corpse in person since a few days prior, although they did communicate that morning.

-The butler last saw Mr. Corpse in person that morning when making arrangements for the dinner.

-The butler recalls three visitors stopping by the day before the murder, though he cannot remember exactly who. One arrived to fix a problem with the plumbing in the kitchen, one arrived to leave a large envelop for Mr. Corpse, and one arrived in the evening and is presumed to have stayed the night, since he did not see the person, who he believes to be female, leave again.

The maid, when cleaning outside this very study, recalls a heated argument over the phone between Mr. Corpse and an unknown caller, and the words 'They will not receive one cent more, over my dead body!' were uttered with great passion.

-The maid also claims there is a ghost in the conservatory.

"So..." Rosa slid the pointer closed with a snap as she turned back to the dinner guests/suspects. "What can we make of this, if anything? What are our thoughts?"

Career Development, Wednesday, First Period

It was a wonder that this group of teachers had managed to get this far in the semester without resorting to showing a movie but that streak of what could charitably be called actual classes had come to an end today. It was only a matter of time, really.

The teachers were at the front of the class, along with a moddable assortment of snacks because what was a movie day without movie snacks? And would Stark really allow an opportunity for snacks to be missed? You were on your own for beverages though, kids, since the plastic cups had mysteriously vanished.

The movie in question was a classic office satire.

"I haven't seen this," Stark said. "But I haven't really seen a lot of movies. It should be good, I think." He really had no idea.

"I haven't either," Hannibal offered. "Although the actresses involved are highly regarded." He'd brought his own movie snacks - rosemary parmesan popcorn and crudités - and set them down on the table along with the others. He had coffee, too, but he wasn't sharing.

And Miguel was giving him such a side-eye for that! "It's a movie. Sometimes people watch them, when they're from this planet and not snobs. It's supposed to be fun." As if he'd seen this, either.

Hannibal studiously ignored him. "Enjoy the film."

Flight and Flying, Wednesday, March 17, 2021

"Right, so all of the bottom cushions on the chairs in the flight shed are missing," Anakin said, loitering outside the Flight Shed when the students arrived, "which is irritating."

If you thought that was going to stop Anakin from making you sit in those chairs, you were, sadly, Quite Wrong.

"But pilots have to deal with worse problems, which you will also discover on your dogfighting run today!"

Didn't that sound like mechanical failures, kids? You were getting so good at this.
